Editorial
This issue of Information Technology Law Reports contains one Court of Appeal case, (I) Cartier International AG (2) Montblanc-Simplo GmbH (3) Richemont International SA and Cartier International AG v (1) British Sky Broadcasting Limited (2) British Telecommunications PLC (3) EE Limited (4) TalkTalk Telecom Limited (5) Virgin Media Limited and The Open Rights Group (Intervener). The Court of Appeal endorsed the decision of Arnold J that the High Court had the power and jurisdiction to make freestanding web-blocking orders. The case will have ramifications outside trade mark and other intellectual property disputes. The decision will be cited as authority for the use of injunctions against innocent intermediaries.
